In 1997, BEI Advanced Technologies [formerly Computer and Information Technologies] was formed due to the high demand for infrastructures and automation of work processes. When BEI began its endeavor into the automation of its processes, we had only one IT professional, one server and 10 workstations. As we have grown into multiple offices and client sites that include a BEI Corporate staff of 225 personnel, we have focused on automating our software distribution, human resources and project information to totally remove redundant activities. This has allowed BEI to deliver the most efficient services and products to its clients with not just minimal IT costs and staff, but also minimal costs and staff to human resources, accounting and management. Our wide-area networks now include 27 servers, 250+ workstations, T1's, Microwave, dial-ups, broadband, 200+ applications and 1500+ pages of Intranet and SQL relational applications.

 

We have been highly active in providing programming and network engineering to many companies in the Houston area, including those that have been acknowledged as a Houston Top 100 company. Our flagship projects include VPN to Mexico, Atlanta and California and Terminal Services to China. Our inventory of managed servers and workstations has easily exceeded 400 while implementing and designing these networks.
