Due to constant pressure to increase earnings and reduce costs, deferring maintenance of the infrastructure has become normal practice in industry. It is essential to maintain infrastructure assets in a timely and systematic manner to help keep facility maintenance costs to a minimum. The BEI program will integrate infrastructure into existing planned preventative maintenance work processes. It will enable clients to effectively manage their maintenance budgets.

 

The BEI program consists of:

 

• Assessment: A quantitative assessment tool is used to determine the condition of a site's existing infrastructure and maintenance practices, in order to prioritize and schedule inspections.
• High-Level Inspection: A high-level inspection is performed to determine the condition of the elements identified by the assessment. Deficiencies, with recommended repairs, are prioritized based on safety, impact to operations, and reliability.
• Detailed Inspections and Upgrade Projects: Scopes of work and project drawings and specifications are generated for those items requiring repairs or maintenance.
