First
in Safety There is a strong commitment to the safety of
all personnel. Safety is a critical concern since BEI staff members spend a
considerable amount of time in the field verifying project integration into
existing facilities. Throughout the history of BEI there has not been one OSHA
recordable incident. Led by management commitment, a full time safety director
and an experienced staff, safety is an integral part of all project activities.
The BEI policy of "No know? - No go!" clearly requires verification
before every step. Best
in Quality Goals for every project include early
definition of scope, schedule and budget. Considerable effort is invested with
client representatives to clearly define the scope of a project. Then specific
software tools are employed to assess the completeness in an effort to identify
where more definition is needed, or at least understand where deficiencies
exist. Once this is done, a schedule is established and then estimates of
engineering, construction and other costs. This package is clearly reviewed
with and accepted by the client before proceeding. At the end of the project, a
post-project quality review is performed to understand and learn from any
deviations to plan. Most
in Productivity Many systems and mechanisms are in place, from
an accumulation of past lessons learned, to assure
that each project is executed using the best methods. This includes driving
accountability down to the task level, as defined by the scope, schedule and
budget package prepared early in the project. The entire project, from initial
client contact to operation, is executed by a BEI staff with an average of 20
years each experience in project work. |
